Hoeven: Armed Forces Day Gives Opportunity To Show Gratitude to Men and Women in Uniform

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today thanked our nation’s armed forces for their service to the nation on Armed Forces Day, saying with our men and women in harm’s way around the world, we should pause for a moment to remember our debt of gratitude for our military. 

            “America’s men and women in uniform, as well as their families, put their personal lives on hold and willingly deploy around the world to protect our nation and defend liberty,” Hoeven said. “We should remember those who have fallen and those who are still working to defend our freedoms in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo and elsewhere. Today, Armed Forces Day, gives us another opportunity to say thank you, we appreciate your sacrifices, and we will never forget your service.”
