Hoeven Announces Summer Interns in his Bismarck, Fargo, and Washington D.C. Offices
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that Caroline Cahill, Ethan Leingang, Jack Sell, Jacob Peterson, Jacob Smith, Katelyn Heley and Maxwell Jencks are interning in his Washington, D.C. office, Andrew Feist is interning in his Bismarck office and Joshua Krank is interning in his Fargo office this summer. Senator Hoeven’s internship program provides college students the opportunity to assist with research, tracking legislation, administrative work, communications and constituent service.
“My staff and I greatly appreciate the work of our interns,” said Hoeven. “They help us to serve the people of North Dakota in a variety of ways, and we strive to provide experiences that will be valuable as they continue to advance in their academic and professional careers.”
Andrew Feist
At Bismarck State College, Andrew majored in business administration and economics. This fall, he will continue his education at Dickinson State University, majoring in business administration. While at BSC, he served as the chapter president of Phi Beta Lambda and was involved in Phi Theta Kappa. A Bismarck native, Andrew is the son of Jeff and Bev.
Caroline Cahill
Caroline is from Springfield, Virginia. A sophomore at Providence College, she is majoring in elementary and special education with a minor in political science. She currently serves as the treasurer of the Providence College Republicans.
Ethan Leingang
Ethan is from Bismarck and is the son of Clint and Dianne. He attends the University of North Dakota, where he is a member of College Republicans and is majoring in banking and finance. After graduation next May, he plans to attend UND Law School.
Jack Sell
Jack grew up in Dallas, Texas, and is a junior at the University of Virginia. Enrolled in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, he is double majoring in public policy and leadership as well as foreign affairs. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in public service.
Jacob Peterson
Jacob is from Grafton and currently studying economics at North Dakota State University. After graduation, he plans to return home and obtain a real estate license. Jacob is the son of Corey and Trisha.
Jacob Smith
Jacob is from Fargo and is a sophomore at Saint Cloud State University. Currently on the varsity swimming and diving team, he plans to graduate with a degree in history. After graduation, Jacob plans to attend law school. He is the son of Andrea and Chad.
Joshua Krank
Joshua obtained a bachelor’s degree in microbiological sciences from North Dakota State University. A Fargo native, he is a proud Eagle Scout and enjoys lifeguarding at the Fargo Park District in his free time. Joshua will return to Drake University Law School this fall for his second year of law school. His parents are Brien and Darla.
Katelyn Heley
Katelyn is the daughter of Darwin and Elaine. She grew up in Lidgerwood and is a sophomore at the University of North Dakota. She is majoring in political science and plans to attend law school after graduation.
Maxwell Jencks
Max grew up in Rhode Island and is a senior at the University of North Dakota, majoring in political science and economics with a minor in mathematics. He is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha and UND’s Model UN Club, as well as the current chapter president of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in international affairs and policy.
