Hoeven Announces Nearly $2.5 Million in Funding for Grand Forks and Northwood Airports
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the U.S. Senate Transportation Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded grants totaling $2,488,754 to the Grand Forks and Northwood airports. Details of the awards are as follows:
- Grand Forks Regional Airport Authority – $1,345,708 – The funds will be used to reconstruct Taxiway U and update the airport’s master plan to help address future development.
- Northwood – $1,143,046 – The funds will be used to reconstruct the airport’s apron and to rehabilitate the runway and taxiway.
“The airports in Grand Forks and Northwood support economic activity for these communities,” Hoeven said. “Today’s awards will be used to invest in these airports and ensure their continued operation for years to come.”
