Hoeven Announces Nearly $240,000 Grant to Support Services for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has awarded $239,136 to CAWS North Dakota. The funding supports the coordination of services for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence and promotes collaboration at the federal, state and local levels.
“These funds will support partnerships, planning, assistance and training to ensure victims can safely access services and that we have a coordinated response to violence in communities across the state,” Hoeven said. “That will help protect victims and make sure offenders are brought to justice.”
