Hoeven Announces More than $900,000 HHS Grant to North Dakota Department of Health

WASHINGTON — Senator John Hoeven today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded the North Dakota State Department of Health a $913,858 grant. The grant will fund the Tobacco Control Program.

“We are committed to the health of North Dakotans,” Hoeven said. “This HHS grant will help the North Dakota Department of Health help individuals who want to quit smoking stop, and discourage youth from adopting the habit.”

The grant was made available through the HHS Chronic Disease Control Cooperative Agreement.
