Hoeven Announces More Than $4.6 Million in Funding for Fargo & Dickinson Airports
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded $4,609,757 to Hector International Airport in Fargo and Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport. These funds are in addition to the more than $3.2 million the two airports received last week and will be used to support the same projects. Details of today’s awards are as follows:
- Hector International Airport – $3,053,378 – The funds will be used to reconstruct and rehabilitate taxiways at the airport.
- Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport – $1,556,379 – The funds will be used to widen the airport’s taxiway.
“Today’s announcement builds on funding the Fargo and Dickinson airports received last week, and will help ensure that these airports can continue to support commercial and general aviation demands,” said Hoeven. “It is important that we invest in our airports because of the valuable economic benefit they provide for our communities.”
