Hoeven Announces More Than $432,000 Grant to Support Medical Research at NDSU
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) has awarded $432,300 to North Dakota State University (NDSU) to research new ways to efficiently create compounds that contain nitrogen. Nitrogen containing compounds have wide application and are part of many medical drugs.
“NDSU is constantly doing research to improve our lives, including medical research to help us live healthier” Hoeven said. “Today’s grant will fund efforts to discover ways to more efficiently create nitrogen compounds which are part of many medical drugs.”
