Hoeven Announces More than $290,000 in Grants to Support Substance Abuse Services
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Center for Mental Health Services has awarded two grants totaling $290,587 to the Spirit Lake Tribe and the North Dakota Federation of Families. The funds will be used to support mental health and substance abuse resource services. The awards are as follows:
• Spirit Lake Tribe – $195,587
• North Dakota Federation of Families – $95,000
“Today’s funds will help ensure that individuals in North Dakota and the Spirit Lake Tribe will have access to mental health and substance abuse services,” Hoeven said. “These services help make the lives of individuals and families healthier and can improve the lives of those who struggle with mental health or substance abuse issues.”
