Hoeven Announces More Than $1.5 Million in Federal Funding to Support ND Community Action Agency
WASHINGTON — Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded a $1,528,801 grant to the Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency, a service organization dedicated to fighting poverty.
“Today’s award is an investment in the health, education and well-being of children and families in Fargo and the surrounding region,” Hoeven said. “This funding will support programs that will help to ensure the continued success of our communities now and in the future.”
The funds are made available through HHS’ Head Start program, which seeks to promote school readiness for low-income children through comprehensive health, educational, nutritional and social services.
