Hoeven Announces Hospital Preparedness Funds to North Dakota
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) has awarded $1,161,170 to the North Dakota Department of Health. This Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) funding was made available through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and will be used to assist hospitals and health care providers in their efforts to improve patient outcomes during public health emergencies and disasters such as the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
“This HPP funding from the CARES Act is vital for ensuring our health care providers are properly prepared to safely respond when disaster or emergencies strike,” said Hoeven.
