Hoeven Announces HHS Research Funding to UND
BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has awarded $209,860 to the University of North Dakota (UND). This new grant will fund research regarding veterinary treatment for protection against tick-borne infections or diseases that may be transmitted to humans.
“This funding will support research at UND to help decrease the transmission of tick-borne diseases,” said Hoeven.
