Hoeven Announces HHS Grant to Tribal Nations Research Group
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Administration for Native Americans, an office of HHS’ Administration for Children and Families, has awarded $137,579 to the Tribal Nations Research Group in Belcourt. This funding will be used for upgrades to the data center, ensuring that information relevant to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians is accurate and accessible for research.
“This grant from HHS will maintain the integrity of the database at the Tribal Nations Research Group and help ensure it is able to continue to serve as a tool to promote research and education with information that is accurate and up to date,” said Hoeven.
