Hoeven Announces HHS Funding to ND Department of Health, Minot Public Schools
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Office of Head Start, has awarded $3,950,054 to the Minot Public School District for Head Start and Early Head Start services. Also announced by HHS today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has awarded $1,820,064 to the North Dakota Department of Health to support efforts for prevention and treatment of diabetes, heart disease and stroke for individuals in North Dakota.
“Today’s funding will support efforts in North Dakota to address chronic health conditions, and help children and their families prepare for school,” said Hoeven.
