Hoeven Announces Funds for Medical Research at University of North Dakota
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded $70,500 to the University of North Dakota (UND). Today’s funds will support allergy, immunology and transplantation research.
“Biomedical research conducted at the National Institutes of Health benefits countless Americans and helps improve long-term health,” said Hoeven. “Today’s funds granted through NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases will allow UND to continue researching the body’s immune system and make progress toward preventing and treating illness.”
