Hoeven Announces Funding for Turtle Mountain & Spirit Lake for COVID-19 Response
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee and a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded grants to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and the Spirit Lake Tribe to support public health response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
- Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians - $401,412
- Spirit Lake Tribe - $168,814
“These CDC grants will provide important public health resources to help the Turtle Mountain and Spirit Lake Tribes as they continue to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Hoeven.
