Hoeven Announces Funding for Safe Drinking Water Program in North Dakota
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $11,011,000 to the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality for North Dakota’s Safe Drinking Water Program. This grant is provided under the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, which Hoeven funded in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 appropriations bill and plans to prioritize again in FY21. Today’s award will support the planning, design and construction of drinking water improvement projects.
“Today’s funds support the state’s efforts in protecting public health as they will assist with updating and repairing eligible water systems in our state,” said Hoeven.
