Hoeven Announces FAA Funding for North Dakota Airports in COVID-19 Relief Efforts
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $85,019,530 in funding to North Dakota airports. Today’s funding comes from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and will be used to directly help airports including with debt payments, payroll, utilities and capital expenditures. “These funds will help our local airports across the state cover their expenses and deal with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Hoeven.
