Hoeven Announces Environmental Protection Funding to Turtle Mountain

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee and a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $360,847 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. This grant will support the tribes’ efforts to manage and continue environmental programs, as well as help strengthen water quality management priorities.

“Today’s funding will provide important resources to the Turtle Mountain Tribe for environmental and water quality programs to help protect and enhance the well-being of local residents,” said Hoeven.
