Hoeven Announces Economic Development Funds for UND From CARES Act
BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Economic Development Administration (EDA) has awarded $299,921 to the University of North Dakota (UND). This funding was made available through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and will be used to support UND’s efforts to boost the regional economy in response to challenges posed by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
“Today’s funding from the CARES Act will support UND’s efforts to strengthen the regional economy as Grand Forks and surrounding communities continue to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency,” said Hoeven.
