Hoeven Announces DOJ Funding to North Dakota Department of Health
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), through the Office of Violence Against Women, has awarded $873,347 to the North Dakota Department of Health. This funding is provided through the Services, Training, Officers, Prosecutors (STOP) Violence Against Women grant program and will be used to enhance partnerships between law enforcement, prosecution, courts and North Dakota organizations in an effort to hold offenders accountable and support survivors.
“As law enforcement, prosecutors, courts and service organizations work together to help survivors of violence, assault and stalking, this grant will support efforts in North Dakota to work together in a collaborative effort to combat violent crimes against women and enhance support for survivors,” said Hoeven.
