Hoeven Announces CDC Funding to Support Tribal COVID-19 Response
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee and a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has awarded funding to two groups in North Dakota. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe will receive $296,547 and the Three Affiliated Tribes will receive $193,513 to support coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response efforts.
“Today’s funding supports ongoing efforts to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic for both the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the Three Affiliated Tribes,” said Hoeven.
