Hoeven Announces CARES Act Funding for Telemedicine in Dickinson

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has awarded $124,053 to the CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center. This grant will be used to purchase equipment in order to support telemedicine services at the facility as they continue responding to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Today’s funding was made available under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

“CHI St. Alexius Health in Dickinson provides important services to families and individuals in western North Dakota, and today’s CARES Act funding will help ensure broader access to health care to the region during the public health emergency,” said Hoeven.
