Hoeven Announces $300K Grant to Improve Access to Health Care
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded a grant totaling $306,332 to the North Dakota Department of Health to support North Dakota’s oral health workforce.
“We are working hard to improve health care across North Dakota, especially ensuring that the more rural and underserved areas of the state have access to quality care,” said Hoeven. “This HHS grant will help ensure our residents have more access to dentists and other oral health providers.”
HHS awards states grants to support their oral health workforce, especially through the development of programs designed to address the oral health needs of underserved populations. The grants also help equip dental health professional with the resources and education needed to address the specific needs of underserved areas.
