Hoeven Announces $280,000 in Funding to Support Veteran Small Business Owners

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has awarded a $280,000 grant to the University of North Dakota (UND). The funds, awarded through SBA’s Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) program, will help support veteran entrepreneurs starting or growing their small businesses.

“Small businesses make up the vast majority of businesses in North Dakota and are responsible for employing a majority of our workforce,” Hoeven said. “Today’s funding will help empower veterans looking to begin a small business or make important investments to grow their business.”
