Hoeven Announces $15 Million to NDDOT Bus Program
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban DevelopmentAppropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded, as part of DOT’s Buses and Bus Facilities Program, $15 million to the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT). This grant will support NDDOT’s work to replace, rehabilitate or purchase buses and related equipment to benefit rural transit systems across the state, including in the three urban transit systems in Bismarck, Fargo and Grand Forks.
“This funding will help ensure the NDDOT is able to maintain public transportation standards statewide by updating aging buses and equipment,” said Hoeven.
