Eight North Dakota Students Selected for Summer Internships With Senator Hoeven
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. John Hoeven today announced the hiring of eight North Dakota college students for summer internships in his Washington and state offices.
Working in the Washington office will be Matt Becker of Bismarck, a senior at the University of Mary studying business administration and political science; Will Bergstrom of Devils Lake, a junior at Harvard University studying English and government; Adam Jorde of Cando, a junior at Augustana College in Sioux Falls studying business administration and Spanish; and Jill Steinwand of Bismarck, who is a junior at Minnesota State University Moorhead, studying accounting.
Jordee Kalk of Bismarck, a sophomore at the Arizona State University studying journalism, will intern at Hoeven’s Bismarck Office. John Mitzel of Fargo, a sophomore at the University of North Dakota studying banking and finance, will work at the Fargo office. Meghan Estenson of Warwick, N.D., a senior at NDSU studying political science, will intern in the Grand Forks office. Minot native Laura Wheeler, a senior at Minot State University studying marketing and management, will intern in the Minot office.
“We look forward to the energy and young talent these college interns will bring to our offices,” Hoeven said. “We work with a range of interesting and timely issues every day in our DC and state offices, and we hope to give these students an educational experience that will be memorable and valuable for their future career development.”
The Senator is currently accepting applications for fall internships in his Washington and state offices. Applications are available below and are due July 15.
