Delegation Announces New Fair Market Rents for Ward, Mountrail, and Williams Counties
WASHINGTON – Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp and Congressman Kevin Cramer today announced that new Fair Market Rents (FMRs) for North Dakota, which are overseen by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), went into effect yesterday for Ward, Mountrail and Williams counties.
“We have been working with HUD to ensure that North Dakotans living in Ward, Mountrail and Williams counties have access to quality, affordable housing,” the delegation said in a joint statement. “The new Fair Market Rents (FMRs) issued by HUD stand to benefit numerous North Dakotans who are working to provide their families with quality housing opportunities in a rapidly changing portion of our state.”
The congressional delegation has been working with HUD to ensure that affordable housing opportunities are available across North Dakota, and especially in communities most closely impacted by the historical Souris River flooding, such as those in Ward, Mountrail and Williams counties.
The new FMRs for Ward, Mountrail and Williams counties went into effect yesterday. The new rates follow.
