Senator Hoeven's Tuesday Public Events For Grand Forks, Devils Lake

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven will hold public events in North Dakota on Tuesday, Dec. 20 in Grand Forks and Devils Lake.

Hoeven will meet with local and Air Force officials at the Grand Forks Air Force Base to plan for the future of the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in the region. Following the meeting, Hoeven will hold a news conference to discuss recently passed legislation that supports UAS growth. To be admitted on base, media must RSVP to the 319th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Office at PA@grandforks.af.mil or (701) 747-5023 by 4:30 p.m. today, Monday Dec. 19.  Media should meet at the east gate at 8:30 a.m. with picture id, preferably a driver’s license, to be escorted on base.

On Tuesday afternoon, Hoeven will speak at a holiday luncheon for employees and students at the Cankdeska Cikana Community College. Following the senator’s remarks, there will be a short tour of new facilities at the college.

Hoeven will then be joined by local, tribal and airport officials for a tour of area roads and infrastructure affected by flooding. Media are encouraged to follow in their own vehicles. There will be two potential stops for media availabilities.
