Hoeven Seeking Summer Interns

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven is currently accepting applications for summer interns to serve in his Washington, D.C. office as well as his Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot state offices.

“We work with a range of interesting and timely issues every day in our D.C. and state offices, and we hope to provide our interns with an educational experience that will be memorable and valuable for their future career development,” said Hoeven. “We look forward to the energy and talent interns bring to our offices.”

Students interning with Senator Hoeven’s office will work closely with staff members on a variety of projects, including communication, legislative, constituent and administrative work. Interns frequently assist with researching issues and tracking legislation as well as interfacing with constituents. Interns working in Washington have the opportunity to attend committee hearings, floor votes and briefings, while interns working in the state office often join staff at community and municipal events.

Students interested in interning in one of Senator Hoeven’s offices should submit a completed application, resume and references no later than Sunday, April 1, 2012. Applications are available for download at: http://hoeven.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/internships.
